Tour Schedule (18 October 2025):
Departure: 08:00 – from the hotels
Destinations:
Return: Around 20:00 – to Batman
The participants do not have to pay any extra fee for the tour.
We look forward to exploring the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region together.
Participant Information Notes:
As the streets of Old Mardin are narrow, uneven, and include stairs, we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes.
About Batman:
As a city, Batman lies at the intersection of diverse historical and cultural heritage. After the conference, we warmly invite you to join us on a special trip through the historic region of Upper Mesopotamia. The tour includes a visit to Hasankeyf, a town with 12,000 years of history, and to Midyat, known for its mix of cultures and the ancient Mor Gabriel Monastery. In Mardin, you’ll see beautiful old architecture and explore places like the Roman-era city of Dara and the Deyrulzafaran Monastery. Additionally, you might consider organizing another trip that includes visits to the impressive city walls of Diyarbakır and to Göbeklitepe, the oldest known temple in the world—an opportunity for a potentially memorable and culturally enriching experience.
We are pleased to announce that a Gala Dinner will be organized as part of our conference program. The dinner will take place on 17 October at 19:30 at Ramada Plaza By Wyndham Batman. The participation fee is ₺1200.
